Are You Prepared to Meet God?

We spend much of our lives making preparations for different things: Homes, education, jobs, family, vacations, hobbies, etc. But when was the last ime you took inventory of your soul to see if you were really prepared to meet God? The Bible teaches that someday, maybe today, you will stand before Him and give an account of your life. Friend, heed the warning of the prophet Amos as he proclaims: “Prepare to meet thy God.” Amos 4:12

Here’s how

1. Realize you are a sinner…

Be honest with yourself and God. He already knows everything about you! “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

2. Recognize your need of salvation…

You need to be saved…saved the Bible way. “For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

3. Repent of your sin…

Be willing to turn from your sin and your attempts to save yourself, and turn to Jesus Christ, who is waiting to save you. “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3

“Jesus, saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

4. Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior…

Your sins bear a death penalty (Rom. 6:23) Jesus Christ paid this sin-debt when He died on a cross and bore your sins in His body. He died for you! He is waiting this very moment to save you if you will open your heart by faith and invite him to come in. (John 1:12; Acts 16:31; Rom. 10:9, 10, 13)

5. Remember His Promise…

God’s Word says that salvation is by faith in JESsus Christ alone. This is the only way to be saved! These are not fables, or theories, but it is the promise and Word of God. (1 John 5:13; John 5:24; 6:37; 10:27-30)
